The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (RIATF-EID) has placed three barangays in Tubigon town with the most number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases under “granular lockdown”.

A granular lockdown is implemented in a sitio or purok, business enterprise or economy and will continue based on the IATF guidelines under a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) classification.

Barangays Pooc Occidental, Centro and Cabulijan were placed on granular lockdown until September 30.

As agreed, provisions and other essentials for residents affected by the granular lockdown will be provided by the barangay council.

In an advisory posted by the local government unit (LGU) of Tubigon on Thursday, Sept. 10, the town has 10 active cases. Three were locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who were still at the quarantine facilities, while seven are community transmissions.

It said that all the 9 active cases were already isolated, while one was admitted in a hospital.

As of Sept. 11, the entire province of Bohol has 248 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 41 active cases, 199 recoveries and 8 deaths.
