Motorists are reminded to have ample rest when driving long distances to prevent accidents caused by drivers falling asleep on the wheel.
Danny Winner, 43, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Ondol in Loboc town, suffered injuries after he crashed.
He said he apparently fell asleep while he was cruising along Barangay Camayaan at past 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.
He suffered cuts and bruises on his head and body.
He was brought to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
Another motorist was injured when his motorcycle hit an electric post in Barangay Manga in Tagbilaran City.
James Doria, 21, a resident of Barangay Manga, said the accident happened at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. He said he lost control of his motorcycle when he fell asleep.
He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
