Magnitude 1.4 earthquake jolts Lila, Bohol

An earthquake hit Bohol tonight, April 7, 2020.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 1.4 earthquake with an epicenter in Lila town at 8:45 p.m.

Netizens in Lila, Garcia Hernandez, Jagna, Pilar, Sierra Bullones, Cortes, Alburquerque, Baclayon, Calape, Dauis, Panglao and Tagbilaran City reported they felt the quake.

Two earthquakes- 4.4 magnitude at 8:30 p.m. and 2.3 magnitude at 8:48 p.m.–hit Maria town in Siquijor.

The 4.4 magnitude in Siquijor was also felt in other provinces.

Intensity V – Maria, Siquijor
Intensity IV – Lazi, Siquijor; Panglao, Dauis, Baclayon, Garcia Hernandez, Jagna and Tagbilaran City, Bohol
Intensity III – Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor; Loay, Bilar, Carmen, Cortes, Candijay and Duero, Bohol
Intensity II – Pilar, and Trinidad, Bohol
Intensity I – Dumaguete City; Mambajao, Camiguin

Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity I – Sibulan, Negros Oriental

A 2.8 magnitude earthquake also jolted east of Alcoy, Cebu.
