The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 227 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of 4 p.m. on April 1, 2020.

This brought the total number of cases to 2,311.

The DOH also recorded eight more fatalities. This brought the death toll to 96.

It also recorded one recovery bringing the total of those who have been healed from COVID-19 to 50.

The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
