HNU names new president

The Holy Name University (HNU) Board of Trustees named Fr Ruel Lero, SVD, as the new president of HNU (formerly the Divine Word College-Tagbilaran).

He is president for academic triennium 2020-2021 to 2022-2023.

“As we congratulate Fr. Lero, we continue to extend to him our cooperation and support,” wrote Fr. Rogelio Bag-ao, SVD, provincial superior on Saturday, March 7.

Lero, 44, popularly known as “Dudz”, was born in Dumaguete.

He became coordinator of Biblical Apostolate of Philippine Southern Province, program director of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program for Divine Word School of Theology and Vice President for Academic Affairs of HNU.
