Environmental lawyer Ingemar Macarine dubbed as the “Pinoy Aquaman” will swim the Sibugay Bay in Zamboanga peninsula.

Macarine, who is also an election officer of Tubigon, Bohol, will swim early Monday morning on February 24 from Buluan Island to Serendipity Isle in Ipil.

The swim dubbed as “Langoy Para sa Kinaiyahan ug Malungtarong Turismo” will cover a distance of 3.5 kilometers.
Macarine is the only Filipino who is consistently swimming in … advocacy for clean seas and beaches.

The swim is organized by Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Representative Ann Hofer.

It is part of the activities in celebrating the 22nd anniversary of Zamboanga Sibugay as a separate province on February 24.

Buluan Island Marine Sanctuary is the peninsula’s rising tourist destination.
