The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) meet is now set to push through in March.
In an interview with TV Patrol Central Visayas, Department of Education Region 7 (DepEd-7) regional director Salustiano Jimenez confirmed it will happen on March 15 until March 21, 2020.
Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental will still host the athletic meet.
Jimenez said they decided to push through with the event since the Department of Health in Region 7 (DOH-7) said there are no more persons under investigation (PUIs) in Dumaguete City.
Earlier, DepEd-7 announced the suspension of the CVIRAA meet after it was initially set last Feb. 23-28.
At that time, a Chinese couple tested positive of the coronavirus disease after arriving in Manila from a vacation in Dumaguete City.
