Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Archie Gamboa said the PNP will provide psychological and psychosocial intervention to the two children-aged 8 and 14 of the policewoman who was shot dead by her police husband.

Gamboa met the children-aged 8 and 14- of Police Staff Sargeant Juliet Tuquib during his command visit to the Bohol Provincial Police Office on Wednesday afternoon, February 19.

Accompanied by their guardians, Gamboa assured the children of financial assistance and psychological and psychosocial interventions.

Both, according to their guardian, have traumatic experience especially the eight-year-old who celebrated her birthday two days after her mother was killed.

The PNP will also answer the hospitalization of the husband Ariel Tuquib.

Last January 27, 2020, Tubigon Police had to forcibly open the door of the room in the couple’s house where they found the policewoman lying lifeless on the floor and drenched in blood.

Ariel was also found sitting on the bed with a gunshot wound on his head. He survived the incident.

The couple, police added, always had an argument on different issues.
