Fresh from America’s Got Talent (AGT), Filipino pride Marcelito Pomoy had a stunning performance on Thursday night, January 16, during the fiesta celebration of Carmen town.
The concert dubbed as “Beauche Night” was sponsored by Beauche International and former Carmen Mayor Che Toribio- Delos Reyes.
Pomoy, the Philippine Got Talent grand champion Season 2, was known for his ability to sing in both tenor and soprano.
Pomoy sang “Pasayawa Ko Day” popularized by Dulce and Panglao’s Emil Loseñada.
He had a duet with a fan with the song “Ulan.”
The crowd sang with him when he belted the song “Buwan” popularized by Juan Karlos.
He was also praised for his rendition of “Never Enough” and “The Prayer” nailing both the song’s male and female parts, by giving him a standing ovation.
Pomoy told the crowd to support him in his journey at AGT.
“Sana makapasok sa Grand Finals, ” he said.
Pomoy’s stunning performance of “The Prayer” at AGT was praised by the “America’s Got Talent” judges for being one of the more “unique” acts they have seen so far in this new season.
Pomoy earned his spot through the votes of “superfans” — a new element introduced for this new season, dubbed “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” These “superfans” are said to be fans from each of the states of the USA.
The new season of “America’s Got Talent” pits both champions and finalists from all the other “Got Talent” programs around the world including Pomoy who won the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” back in 2011.
