Jhusica Asoque Villaflores, a former vocalist of CenterStage band, died on Saturday. She was 28.
Her friends confirmed the death. No other details were given.
But a Facebook post from CenterStage Band said “she succumbed to complications related to a terminal illness which she had been battling with courage and strength.”
Villaflores was considered to be among the best singers in Bohol being a grand champion of “Quest for the Voice” and “KissMas Singing Star”.
She was a runner-up during the 3rd SK Pop Idol in 2006.
She was best known for her rendention of “Diamonds Are Forever.”
“We were totally shocked of the sad news relayed to us and try to hold back our tears as we cherish her memories,” Ariel Fullido of CenterStage Band posted on Facebook.
“We are still devastated of her untimely demise. We will terribly miss her and we will just cherish all the memories she has with CenterStage band,” the band said.
“You’ve won the battle. You may rest in peace now. We all miss you Jhusica Villaflores,” another Boholano singer Joseph Gara posted on Facebook.
