Timor-Leste has three bronze medals, one in taekwondo and two in boxing, in 30th South East Asian (SEA Games) on Sunday, December 8.

Jose Barreto Quintas da Silva bagged the country’s first bronze in boxing after losing to Thailand in the semifinal lightweight match.

Compatriot Frederico Soares Sarmento followed suit after in the early evening after losing the semifinal light heavyweight match against his Vietnamese opponent.

But the first official bronze of the country came in taekwondo when Amorin Imbrolia Araujo dos Reis settled for third in the women’s under 57 kg category.

The Philippines has been cheering for Timor Leste in their bid for at least one medal in SEA Games.
