At last, Timor Leste finally won its first medal in the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA) Games on Sunday at the PICC Forum.

Boxer Jose Barretto Quintas Da Silva lost to Thailand’s Ammarit Yaodam, 1-4, in the semifinals of the men’s flyweight 52kg category.

Despite his loss, Da Silva would be awarded a bronze medal, his country’s first medal in SEA Games.

Last week, the Philippines has been cheering for Timor Leste in their bid for at least one medal in SEA Games.
