A three-story building will rise on a 400-square meter lot by the first quarter of 2020 as the new Buenavista Municipal Police Station.
The new police station is worth P5.3 million and is a partnership between the local government of Buenavista and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The “type BC” station will be located right across the town hall.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 23.
The event was attended by Bohol Governor Art Yap together with Police Colonel Jonathan Cabal, acting provincial director of the Bohol Provincial Police Office.
Mayor Dave Duallo said the local government unit donated the lot.
The PNP building is targeted to be completed in the middle of year 2020.
Police Captain Bonifacio Udtohan Lucerna said the new police station will improve morale among staff and will also improve the productivity of the force.
