A Cebuano lawyer survived an attempt on his life after he was ambushed by unidentified men on early Monday morning.
According to a report from DYLA Cebu Newsbreak, the lawyer was identified as Inocencio dela Cerna.
He was on his way out of the Cebu City Hall of Justice located inside the Qimonda building along North Reclamation Area in Cebu City when this happened.
In the video interview, dela Cerna said there were two men onboard a motorcycle who fired three shots at him.
He sustained minor wound on his right wrist during the chase.
When he drove further and reached the stoplight, Dela Cerna said he opted to disembark from his vehicle and got his own firearm, which was inside his bag.
The gunmen, who saw him, turned around instead and fled.
He was able to fire at them twice.
In the video, it can be seen that his vehicle was riddled with at least seven bullet holes.
The lawyer sought help from the Waterfront Police Station after the incident.
