At least P9.5-million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from a minor in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City on Monday afternoon.
Recovered from the possession of the 15-year-old boy was more than one kilo of suspected shabu.
According to Police Major Kenneth Paul Albotra, chief of San Nicolas Police Station, the boy was the one who accepted the boodle money and gave the shabu to the police, who acted as the poser buyer.
The operation was done in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Calamba at past 2 p.m.
The apprehension of the boy came as a “shock” to the police, says Albotra adding that he acted as the drug courier for the said transaction.
Earlier, San Nicolas Police rescued another minor, where 100 grams of shabu was confiscated during a checkpoint few days ago.
Since these minors are unlikely to go to prison, Albotra said drug groups are now using minors to be their drug couriers.
