A maritime college based in Bohol was recently recognized by the Philippine Navy as the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps of the Year 2019.

The 514th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps of Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI) Colleges Bohol received their Plaque of Merit and streamer from no less than President Rodrigo Duterte, who was the guest of honor and speaker.

The awarding was held during the 121st anniversary of the Philippine Navy held at Naval Base Heracleo Alano in Cavite City, Cavite on June 17, Monday.
PMI Colleges were among the seven awardees who attended the celebration.

Duterte was assisted by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Flag Officer-in-Command (FOIC) Vice Admiral Robert Empedrad.
Other awardees include, six other Navy units, three individual awardees, recepients of the Order of Lapu-Lapu, three military personnel recepients of the Rank of Kampilan, and 23 soldiers receiving the Rank of Kamagi award. ///
