TAGBILARAN CITY— Bohol Light has brought information on electricity services, payment options, and safety measures closer to residents through its Barangayan Program in several districts of Tagbilaran City.

The initiative included a recent barangay assembly in Poblacion II and community engagements in the Manga and Dampas districts on Oct. 24, 2026.

Spearheaded by Bohol Light’s Customer Care Department (CCD) in coordination with its Network Development and Operations Group (NDOG), the program aims to help consumers better understand available services, customer assistance programs, and electrical safety practices.

During the community sessions, company representatives encouraged residents to use accredited third-party collecting agents for convenient electricity bill payments and switch to electronic billing for faster, paperless transactions.

They also warned against illegal and unsafe electrical connections, including so-called flying connections, which can pose fire and other safety hazards. Residents were urged to apply for individual electricity connections to ensure safer and more reliable service.

The company also explained how eligible consumers can avail themselves of the Lifeline Subsidy and senior citizen discounts to help reduce their monthly electricity expenses.

Bohol Light said the community engagements aim to improve customer awareness, promote electrical safety, and ensure that consumers are informed about programs and services available to them.

The company added that it remains committed to strengthening its presence in the communities it serves, emphasizing that providing reliable electricity also involves educating customers and promoting safe and responsible electricity use.
