GUINDULMAN, Bohol — A 64-year-old man was stabbed four times after he attacked another man with a piece of wood following a long-running feud in Barangay Casbu here on Monday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Candido Labian, 64, of Barangay Tugas, Candijay town, who was temporarily staying at a poultry farm where he worked in Casbu.
The suspect was identified as Rogelio Portich, 35, of Barangay Casbu.
Police said Labian confronted Portich at around 3 p.m. and suddenly struck him with a piece of wood.
Portich reportedly tried to defend himself before grabbing a screwdriver and stabbing Labian several times in different parts of his body.
Portich voluntarily surrendered to police following the incident, while Labian was taken to a hospital in Tagbilaran City for treatment.
Police said their investigation showed that the two men had a long-standing dispute that began last year after Portich allegedly assaulted Labian.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
