TAGBILARAN CITY — A total of 765 barangays in Bohol have now been cleared of illegal drugs, bringing the province’s drug-cleared rate to 68.98%, based on the latest Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) data.
The figure, released as of August 14, 2026, is seven higher than the previous 758 barangays, which represented 68.35% of the province’s 1,109 barangays.
Major Joseph Lopena, spokesperson of the Bohol Police Provincial Office, said 748 barangays have been formally declared drug-cleared.
Meanwhile, 344 barangays remain drug-affected. Of these, 171 are classified as SA and 173 as MA, while none is classified under SLA.
The province has 17 barangays classified as unaffected under the BDCP.
The latest figures reflect the continuing efforts of authorities and local communities to address illegal drug activity and work toward clearing the remaining affected barangays.
