TAGBILARAN CITY — A child sustained facial scratches after the motorcycle carrying the child and two companions figured in an accident in Barangay Tabalong, Dauis, Bohol, allegedly after being chased and hit by dogs.
According to a social media post by the child’s mother, Jessa Dinampon Rollin, the three were on their way to their destination when several dogs allegedly chased them, causing the motorcycle to crash.
The child suffered scratches on the face, while the victims were taken to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Rollin said it was the second time their family had been involved in an accident allegedly caused by dogs on the road.
In her post, she recalled that a previous incident also involved her partner, who was injured after a dog suddenly crossed the road.
Following the incident, Rollin appealed to dog owners to be responsible in keeping their pets under control to help prevent similar accidents and protect motorists and pedestrians.
As of posting, authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
