DIMIAO, Bohol — A 16-year-old high school student died after being found unconscious inside the comfort room of their home in Barangay Tangohay, Dimiao, Bohol, according to the Dimiao Municipal Police Station.
Police said the teenager’s family began searching after the student could no longer be found at home. During the search, the victim’s boyfriend, who was helping the family, discovered the student unconscious inside the comfort room.
The incident occurred on Friday. The victim was immediately rushed to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center in Tagbilaran City for medical treatment but was pronounced dead several hours later.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident and said an investigation is ongoing to determine what happened.
The Dimiao Municipal Police Station urged the public not to speculate while investigators gather evidence and establish the facts surrounding the case.
