TAGBILARAN CITY — More than 160 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across the Philippines are showcasing their products at the Sandugo One Town, One Product (Otop) Trade Expo 2026, reinforcing Bohol’s position as a growing hub for entrepreneurship and local industries.
The expo, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bohol as part of the Sandugo Festival, opened Tuesday, July 14 at the Activity Center of Island City Mall and will run from July 14 to 19.
Exhibitors from different regions are offering a wide range of locally made products, including food, coffee, cacao, handicrafts, fashion accessories, processed agricultural goods, home décor, wellness items, and other Filipino-made products.
DTI said the annual trade fair serves as more than a retail showcase, providing MSMEs with opportunities for business matching, product promotion, networking, and market expansion.
“The expo reflects DTI’s continuing commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs and strengthening the country’s MSME sector,” the agency said.
The opening ceremony was attended by DTI Acting Regional Director Esperanza T.L. Melgar, Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Censoria Yap, DTI-Bohol Provincial Director Vierna Teresa Ligan, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Melanie Ng, Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Steven Lim, and other business leaders.
The Sandugo Otop Trade Expo is one of the highlights of the annual Sandugo Festival and is expected to attract thousands of visitors while promoting Filipino products and supporting the growth of local enterprises.
