TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has welcomed the latest survey by Holy Name University showing he maintained a “good” net satisfaction rating, while committing to intensify government action on rising living costs, employment, and basic services.

Results of the HNU Bohol Poll 2026 showed Aumentado posting a +48 net satisfaction rating, with 59 percent of respondents satisfied, 11 percent dissatisfied, and 30 percent undecided. The survey also recorded a 99 percent public awareness rating for the governor.

Aumentado expressed gratitude for the continued public trust but acknowledged the need to deliver more visible and immediate results.

“We are grateful for the continued trust of our fellow Boholanos. The survey affirms that a majority remains satisfied with our work despite the energy crisis caused by the war in the Middle East,” he said, adding that the results also highlight expectations on issues affecting daily life.

The survey indicated broad support across Bohol, with the highest satisfaction recorded in the second district and sustained approval in the first and third districts. It also showed continued confidence across income groups, particularly among lower-income households.

Despite this, the governor noted that the 30 percent undecided respondents reflect a growing demand for action on key concerns such as food prices, fuel costs, job opportunities, and access to basic services.

In response, the provincial government is strengthening programs aimed at addressing these issues. These include expanding rice assistance and food support initiatives, implementing palay buy-back and local sourcing programs to stabilize supply and prices, and increasing support for farmers.

Efforts to boost employment are also being accelerated through investments, enterprise development, and job generation linked to infrastructure and tourism projects.

The provincial government is likewise continuing initiatives to improve water and electricity services, including the development of bulk water supply systems and measures to ensure stable power distribution.

Aumentado also underscored the importance of transparency and accountability, citing strengthened monitoring and coordination for infrastructure projects and adherence to governance standards.

He emphasized that the undecided segment should be viewed as an opportunity for stronger public engagement rather than a setback.

“People are not turning away—they are asking for more. This reflects a more mature society, and we welcome that,” he said.

The governor added that the provincial government will intensify direct engagement at the barangay level through service caravans delivering medical, legal, and livelihood assistance, including in remote and island communities.

“Government services should be felt in every barangay and by every family,” he said.

Aumentado reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to build on existing gains while accelerating service delivery.

“Our goal is clear—solutions, not just talk,” he added.
