TAGBILARAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Central Visayas (DSWD-7) on Wednesday started the payout of cash relief assistance (CRA) for 2,959 tricycle drivers in Tagbilaran City.
Each tricycle driver-beneficiary receive P5,000 to help ease the impact of rising fuel prices caused by the geopolitical tension in the Middle East.
The payout venues included City Central Elementary School, Ubujan Elementary School, and San Isidro National High School.
The beneficiaries are listed under the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO).
Those whose names cannot be found on the list can seek assistance from the DSWD-LGU Help Desk.
Emmanuel Balate said the cash relief assistance is a big help.
“Dako nga ikatabang gyud ni sa pamilya makatabang sa panghinanglanon n labi na ang bugas,” he said.
The CRA is being implemented by the DSWD under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program, which serves as a social safety net or stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families who are experiencing unexpected crises.
