The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) was recently been given the highest recognition for its effort in police community relations (PCR).
BPPO was hailed as the “Best Police Provincial Office of the Year in Police Community Relations”.
The recognition was given today as the Police Regional Office in Region 7 (PRO-7) culminates its 25th PCR month.
Apart from BPPO, three of its personnel and officials were also given recognition.
Police Capt. Romar Tupal Labasbas, the chief of police of Panglao Police Station, bagged the “Best Junior PCO of the Year in Police Community Relations”.
Police Master Sergeant Helena Guitones of Antequera Police Station was named “Best Senior PNCO of the Year in Police Community Relations.
Police Staff Sergeant Lica Ubuta Caingles of Dimiao Police Station was named “Best Junior PNCO of the Year in Police Community Relations”.
The awarding ceremony was done virtually via Zoom.
PRO-7 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, in his message this morning, emphasized the importance of PCR in bridging the police and the community.
“Continue to do good in the community because we are reaping the fruits of your labor. We gained the trust of the public which helped us in catching criminals,” he said.
