TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — The Department of Education (DepEd) Bohol has issued a clarificatory statement denying allegations circulating on social media involving its delegation to the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet 2026 (CVIRAA).

In a statement released by DepEd Bohol, the division categorically described the claims as “false, misleading, and without factual basis,” emphasizing that measures were in place to ensure the safety and welfare of all learner-athletes throughout the regional sporting event.

“The management committee has taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of our learner-athletes, as well as their proper supervision,” the statement read.

DepEd Bohol said it implemented appropriate guidance systems, maintained coordination with coaches and working committees, and strictly followed established protocols for student welfare during the conduct of CVIRAA 2026.

The agency also denounced the spread of unverified information online, warning that such claims could damage the reputation of the division, its athletes, personnel, and partner institutions, including local government units and stakeholders.

“As an institution, we uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability,” it added, stressing that the health, safety, and well-being of athletes remained its top priority from training until the conclusion of the meet.

DepEd Bohol further assured the public that all its actions are guided by existing laws, regulations, and ethical standards in education.
The division urged the public to exercise discernment and responsibility in sharing information, and to course concerns through official communication channels for proper and constructive action.

DepEd Bohol reiterated its commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all athletes and members of the CVIRAA delegation, while advising the public to rely only on its authorized platforms for accurate updates.
