TAGBILARAN CITY — Holy Name University (HNU) has announced the suspension of work and classes on February 25, 2026, in observance of the 40th anniversary of the along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) People Power Revolution.
In an official advisory, the university administration said all offices and academic activities will be suspended to allow members of the Holynamian community to commemorate the historic event.
The university emphasized that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the values embodied by the 1986 uprising — unity, democracy, and the collective power of the Filipino people.
The February 25 observance marks four decades since millions of Filipinos gathered Edsa in Metro Manila in a peaceful movement that restored democratic institutions in the country.
HNU encouraged students, faculty, and staff to use the day as an opportunity for reflection on the significance of People Power and its continuing relevance in shaping responsible citizenship and nation-building.
