TAGBILARAN CITY— A tourism student from Tagbilaran City College (TCC) remains in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being involved in a hit-and-run accident in the town of Loboc on Saturday evening, December 27, 2025.
The victim was identified as Juliana Ashley Mutia Diola, a TCC student.
Police reports said the incident occurred at around 6:35 p.m. in Barangay Agape, Loboc, while Diola was riding her motorcycle.
Due to the strong impact, Diola sustained serious head trauma, internal bleeding, and a fractured arm. She was immediately rushed to a hospital, where she continues to fight for her life.
As of this writing, authorities have yet to identify the suspect or the vehicle involved in the incident. The driver reportedly fled the scene without offering assistance to the victim.
The Diola family has appealed to the Loboc Police Station, Loay Police Station, and local government officials to expedite the investigation to identify and hold accountable the person responsible.
“We are pleading for justice so that the person who did this will come forward and be held accountable,” the family said on Facebook.
Aside from seeking justice, the family is also asking for financial assistance to help cover the mounting medical expenses and possible surgical procedures. They have likewise urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to coordinate with the police to aid in the investigation.
