LOBOC, BOHOL — Floodwaters submerged several homes in this heritage town on Tuesday morning, November 4, after the Loboc River overflowed following continuous rains brought by Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi).
Mayor Raymond Jala said seven barangays—Jimilian, Villaflor, Ugpong, Valladolid, Gotozon, Ondol, and Camayaan—were among the areas affected by the rising river. He added that at least 30 houses were affected.
Evacuation efforts are ongoing, and affected residents are temporarily staying in designated shelters as the local government monitors water levels and weather conditions.
Authorities reminded the public to remain cautious, especially those living near the riverbanks.
