ANDA, BOHOL – Governor Aris Aumentado on Wednesday visited Barangay Buenasuerte in Anda town to check on residents after the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Tuesday night, September 30.
The governor expressed gratitude that residents were safe and said the provincial government is committed to helping communities recover.
During his visit, Aumentado turned over P2.8 million worth of assistance for priority projects in five barangays:
Brgy. Katipunan – P700,000 for the construction of a two-storey multipurpose stage Brgy. Buenasuerte – P500,000 for farm-to-market road concreting Brgy. Tanod – P510,000 for barangay road concreting Brgy. Bacong – P620,000 for the purchase of a multipurpose vehicle Brgy. Linawan – P480,000 for a road concreting project
Gov. Aumentado was welcomed by local officials led by Kap. Ernesto Penaso and joined by Vice Governor Nick Besas, Board Member Nathan Binlod, Mayor Angelina Simacio, Vice Mayor Rubina Porter, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
The governor noted that he was the first to visit the barangay after the quake, assuring residents that the provincial government will continue to support recovery and development efforts.
