Candijay Mayor Christopher Tutor took to Facebook to announce that the confirmed COVID-19 case in his town is asymptomatic.
The patient is currently placed in an isolation facility, said Tutor in a post he made on his Facebook account.
“To date, (14 June 2020 Sunday), wala cyay gibati,” said Tutor in a Facebook post.
According to Tutor, the said patient was part of the first batch of LSIswho arrived from Cebu.
He added that with this recent development, contact tracing was done.
“Mismo ang mga nurses nga dunay contact nya, giapil nato ug quarantine bisan pa tuod ug nag suot sila ug PPE,” the town mayor said.
He also asked his constituents to follow health protocols.
“Candijaynon, dili ta angay mabalaka kay tanan lihok nato sugod sa atong preparasyon, ni sunod ta sa mga health standards & protocol,” the mayor said.
“Magpabilin kita nga matumanon sa tanan na mandato nga gpahigayon sa goberno ilabi na sa Health Standards & Protocol. Ug permi ta mag ampo sa Kahitas-an,” he added.
