The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has lifted the temporary suspension on sea travel for vessels plying routes between northern Bohol towns and Cebu following the latest Tropical Cyclone Bulletin issued by PAGASA at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Operations have resumed for vessels of any type or tonnage traveling from the ports of Getafe, Buenavista, Inabanga, and Clarin to Cebu City and Cordova.
However, the PCG clarified that the ban on all watercraft 35 gross tons (GT) and below remains in effect across the entire Area of Responsibility (AOR) of Coast Guard Station Western Bohol. The restriction is in line with HPCG Memorandum Circular No. 03-01, which provides guidelines on vessel movement in the absence of a local weather bulletin.
Sea travel for vessels above 35 gross registered tons (GRT) is permitted, provided that they are seaworthy, properly manned, and strictly compliant with safety requirements. Operators are reminded to take precautionary measures and remain vigilant in monitoring weather conditions.
