PANGLAO, Bohol — Carmen Mayor Che Toribio Delos Reyes was elected president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)–Bohol Chapter following an election held on Thursday, September 18, in Panglao.
Delos Reyes secured 35 votes, defeating San Miguel Mayor Ian Mendez, who garnered 9 votes.
As LMP–Bohol president, Delos Reyes will represent the province’s municipal mayors in coordinating programs and projects with national agencies and advocating policies that benefit local government units.
The LMP serves as a platform for municipal mayors nationwide to share best practices, strengthen collaboration, and push for local autonomy and development initiatives.
