Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has been honored by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) Bohol for his strong support and commitment to advancing technical-vocational education and training (TVET) in the province.
Tesda-Bohol awarded Gov. Aumentado a Plaque of Recognition “in grateful recognition and appreciation of the exemplary leadership and steadfast commitment in the implementation of TVET programs and services in the province.”
The plaque was signed by Tesda-Bohol Provincial Director Carlito Quintano and was presented during the Stakeholders’ and Partners’ Recognition Ceremony held last August 29 at the MetroCentre Hotel in Tagbilaran City.
The event carried the theme “Celebrating Commitment and Recognizing Remarkable Partnerships and Achievements” and was organized in coordination with the Association of Public/Private TechVoc Institutions in Bohol, Inc. (APTIB, Inc.) as part of Tesda’s Anniversary Month celebration.
Provincial Legal Officer Handel Lagunay received the award on behalf of Aumentado and also delivered a message from the governor.
In his remarks, Lagunay highlighted the vital role of Tesda and its partners in shaping opportunities for Boholanos.
“Together with its partners and stakeholders, Tesda Bohol has paved a brighter path for our people, where a future in the tech-voc sector is not only possible but promising, and where TVET programs respond to the demands of our growing local economy,” he said.
He added that the provincial government, under Aumentado’s leadership, will continue to work hand-in-hand with Tesda-Bohol to build “a smart, resilient, and inclusive society through improved access to education, promotion of social equity, and investment in human development.”
The recognition underscores the provincial government’s shared vision with Tesda in equipping Boholanos with valuable skills and preparing them for opportunities in a growing economy. (PIMO/JSB)
