TAGBILARAN CITY — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to visit Bohol on Friday, September 5, 2025 for the inauguration of two major irrigation projects of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region VII.
The projects to be inaugurated are the Calunasan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP) in Sierra Bullones and the Mabini-Cayacay SRIP in Mabini town.
These irrigation systems are expected to boost local agriculture by ensuring a steady water supply for farmers, thereby increasing rice production and improving the livelihood of farming communities in the province.
Local officials, farmers’ groups, and residents are invited to join the ceremony, which will highlight the government’s continuing efforts to strengthen food security and support rural development.
