The Sandugo 2025 Agri Fair wrapped up with a record-breaking P1 million in sales, spotlighting Bohol’s rich agricultural heritage and strong community support for local farmers.
Held from July 14 to 18 at Plaza Rizal, the fair brought together 27 towns, 19 private exhibitors, and several national agencies, making it the biggest edition yet. From fresh produce and native delicacies to innovative farm products, the event turned the plaza into a vibrant showcase of tradition and technology.
Rice topped the sales list, while colorful booths, cooking demos, and contests—like bangus deboning, tilapia filleting, and even singing—drew large crowds. LGUs including Alburquerque, Carmen, Getafe, and Calape shone in various competitions, from biggest harvests to best product displays.
Gov. Aris Aumentado emphasized agriculture as a cornerstone of his administration, highlighting food security and farmer support. Partner agencies praised Bohol’s model of community-led, sustainable agriculture.
The Agri Fair capped off with calls to inspire more youth to pursue farming and agri-related careers, reinforcing Bohol’s commitment to nurturing both land and people.
