A total of 21 families lost their homes in a fire that broke out in a residential area in
Upper Katipunan, Purok 1 in Barangay Mansasa on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024.
The blaze was reported at 3 p.m., a report from Mayor Jane Yap posted on her Facebook.
The fire was declared under control at 4 p. m. and was put out at 4:45 p.m.
Authorities have estimated the damage caused by the blaze at P700, 000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Yap who inspected the site said the city government has supplied the fire victims with food and essential provisions.
No injuries or casualties were reported, Yap said.
