BOHOL — It was a major day of progress for law enforcement in Bohol as police arrested three fugitives, all listed among the Top 10 Most Wanted Persons at the regional level, in separate operations on Friday, July 18, 2025.

“Pingkaw” tracked down in Metro Manila jail

At 3:40 a.m., intelligence operatives from the Bohol Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) led by Police Major served an alias warrant of arrest on Gerald Datahan, also known as “Pingkaw”, inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in San Juan City, Metro Manila.

Datahan, 45, a native of Barangay Tambongan, Candijay, was facing charges of Qualified Theft and violation of the Anti-Carnapping Law (RA 10883). The warrant was issued by RTC Branch 126 in Caloocan City with a bail amounting to P340,000. Despite already being in detention for a separate case, police needed to serve the new warrant formally.

Lila rape suspect nabbed inside cockpit arena
That evening, at 7:30 p.m., the Lila Police Station Tracker Team, led by Police Captain Rodante P. Sanchez, arrested Junrel Cailing Lagria, 18, at the Segundo S. Lim Cockpit Arena in Tagbilaran City.

Lagria, a resident of Barangay Tiguis, Lila, is accused of three counts of Statutory Rape, based on warrants issued by RTC Branch 50 in Loay. The court recommended no bail for the suspect.

Drug suspect arrested in Loon
Earlier, at 10:30 a.m., police in Loon, led by Police Major Rey Olar and assisted by RIU 7, arrested Jade Aslee Calatrava, 24, in Barangay Cogon Norte. Calatrava, who is unemployed and a resident of Barangay Napo, Loon, is facing charges under Section 5, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The warrant, issued by RTC Branch 49 in Tagbilaran City, was for service of sentence—meaning Calatrava has already been convicted and must now serve his jail term.

The Bohol Provincial Police Office commended its units for the successful coordination and execution of these arrests, stressing that justice is slowly but surely catching up with those who try to hide.
