P13.8M worth of shabu seized in Dauis, Bohol

DAUIS, BOHOL — Two high-value drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation early morning on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Barangay Songculan, Dauis.

Police seized around 2,030 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱13.8 million, along with buy-bust money, phones, a backpack, a weighing scale, and a motorized banca allegedly used to transport the drugs.

The suspects were identified as Jose Ever Campaña, 39, the primary target of the operation, and his accomplice Bebiano Oribia, 37. Both are residents of Purok 3, Barangay Mantatao in  Calape town, Bohol.

Their modus operandi involved delivering illegal drugs by boat, traveling to towns such as Calape, Tubigon, Loon, Maribojoc, Dauis, Panglao, Tagbilaran City, and nearby areas.

The operation was led by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) in coordination with PDEA-Bohol and other agencies.

BPPO Director Col. Arnel Banzon said the arrest is a strong message against illegal drugs. Spokesperson Lt. Col. Norman Nuez urged the public to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity to help keep Bohol drug-free.
