TALIBON, BOHOL — A 23-year-old man wanted for violating an anti-smoking ordinance voluntarily surrendered to police in Talibon town on Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025.
The suspect, identified as Remuel Ratilla y Auxtero, a jobless resident of Purok 7, Barangay San Roque, appeared at the Talibon Municipal Police Station at around 9:40 a.m. after learning of a standing warrant of arrest issued against him.
Police confirmed the warrant through the E-Warrant system. Ratilla is facing charges for violation of a city/municipal ordinance on anti-smoking and vaping under Criminal Case No. M-MND-24-08858-CR. The warrant was issued by Judge Diomer Liangco Priela of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 96 in Mandaluyong City on June 17, 2025, with a recommended bail of ₱500.
Authorities immediately placed Ratilla under arrest, informed him of the charges, and apprised him of his constitutional rights. He later underwent a routine medical examination at the Talibon Rural Health Unit.
Ratilla is now in the custody of the Talibon Municipal Police Station pending further legal procedures.
