Gov. Aris Aumentado’s 47th birthday on Sunday (Dec. 29) is being celebrated with his commitment of building 47 new houses for the less fortunate thru “Balay sa Paglaum (House of Hope)”.
“Sa akong pagsaulog sa ika-47 nga adlaw’ng natawhan, gusto nako nga ipaambit ngadto sa uban ang akong dakong kalipay ug pagpasalamat sa Labaw’ng Makagagahom, sa Iyang grasya ug pagpanalipod kanako, sa akong pamilya ug sa atong Probinsya, sulod sa tibuok tuig, ” he said.
“Tungod niini, 47 ka pamilya ang atong hatagan og gasa, pinaagi sa among adbokasiya ni Cong. Van-van nga Balay sa Paglaum,” he added.
Aumentado’s “Balay sa Paglaum” has already reached 100 beneficiaries.
It was launched in 2023 to bring hope to its beneficiaries and is personally funded by the Aumentado family.
This advocacy is a collaborative effort with the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO). Through the police program “Libreng Alagad og Balay” (LAB), officers voluntarily construct homes for selected beneficiaries.
Last December 21, the 41st house was turned over to Jesus Cabungcal and Rosita Alvarado of Barangay Canmaya Diot in Sagbayan town.
