PILAR, BOHOL — A man listed as the Top 4 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level was arrested by authorities in Pilar, Bohol on Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025, for multiple counts of rape, including statutory rape.
At around 8:30 p.m., the tracker team of Pilar Municipal Police Station, led by Police Captain Waldo Suraliza Batad, officer-in-charge, arrested Armando Tandugon Samon, 40, a farmer and resident of Purok 1, Poblacion, Pilar.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Jorge B. Espinal of the Regional Trial Court Branch 51 in Carmen, Bohol, dated June 20, 2025.
Samon faces two counts of qualified rape and four counts of statutory rape, docketed under Criminal Case Numbers 5099 to 5104.
No bail was recommended for his release.
Police officers followed proper protocol during the arrest, utilizing two alternative recording devices in accordance with the Rules on the Use of Body-Worn Cameras in the Execution of Warrants (A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC).
The accused was informed of his constitutional rights and anti-torture rights in a language he fully understands. He is currently detained at the Pilar Police Station custodial facility, pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
