The provincial government of Bohol suspended classes and office works on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 16-17, due to Typhoon Odette.
In an executive order, Governor Arthur Yap announced the suspension of work in private and government offices, and classes at all levels. This does not include agencies related to public safety, emergency response, and medical services.
Morever, the Department of Education’s school districts, through their district supervisors or principals, were directed to immediatwly prepare their school buildings, facilities and other resilient structures to serve as additional evacuation centers.
Hundreds were evacuated on Wednesday in Tubigon, Calape and Candijay towns.
