ANDA, BOHOL — A 22-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after accidentally hitting a dog in Barangay Candabong, Anda, Bohol around 11:00 p.m. recently.
The victim was identified as Allen Licong, a resident of Barangay Virgen, Anda.
According to reports, Licong was on his way home from Guindulman town where he had reportedly been drinking with coworkers. While riding his motorcycle through Barangay Candabong, he accidentally ran over a dog, causing the crash.
He was immediately rushed to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center in Tagbilaran City, where he was found to have sustained a fractured forehead and multiple broken teeth.
Authorities continue to remind motorists to drive carefully, especially at night, and to watch out for stray animals on the road.
