In celebration of Women’s Month, Seafaring Family International (SeaFam) Bohol Chapter hosted an empowering workshop, “The Power Within,” on March 8, 2025, at the Southern Institute of Maritime Studies-Bohol (SIMS).

Designed specifically for seafarers’ wives, the workshop focused on harnessing inner strength, resilience, and self-empowerment.

Led by SeaFam’s founder and chairman, Arianne Rocha, the session encouraged participants to recognize their own power, navigate challenges with confidence, and build a strong support system within the seafaring community.

SeaFam, a non-government organization with over 51,800 members, is dedicated to supporting seafaring families through trainings, workshops, and fostering a close-knit, empowered community. The organization’s leadership is deeply rooted in Bohol, with both Chairman Arianne Rocha and Vice President Dr. Glenn Mark Blasquez actively contributing to the maritime industry.

The event reinforced SeaFam’s commitment to uplifting seafarers’ wives, recognizing their vital role in their families and the maritime community. True strength comes from within—and together, seafarers’ families can thrive.
