Nine people were rescued from a motor banca that capsized off Bagongbanwa Island in Tubigon, Bohol.
At past 3 p. m. on Tuesday, the Coast Guard Substation (CGSS) Tubigon were escorting the fluvial parade back to Mocaboc Island in Tubigon when an unknown motorbanca was observed drifting due to rough seas and strong winds. Shortly after, the motorbanca capsized.
The motor banca encountered rough seas and strong current, causing it to capsize.
The nine passengers and crew were brought back to Mocaboc Island in Tubigon.
All passengers were accounted for, and no casualties or injuries were reported.
