The province of Bohol has been recognized as a SubayBayani Exemplar at the 2024 DILG VII SubayBayani Awards, held at the Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay in Parañaque City on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
During the awarding ceremony, Bohol was also conferred the additional honor of being one of the Top 10 Performing LGUs in the SubayBayani search, out of 82 provinces throughout the country.
Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado personally received the awards.
“Bohol is not just an LGU Exemplar, it is ONE OF THE TEN (10) TOP-PERFORMING PROVINCES in the entire country,” he said in a Facebook post.
The governor said the results were kept top secret “and were revealed only now, during the SubayBayani Awarding ceremony.”
The SubayBayani Awards, an initiative of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), honor local government units (LGUs) that demonstrate excellence in the monitoring and implementation of government projects.
The SubayBayan platform is a critical tool for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the use of public funds.
This recognition highlights Bohol’s outstanding promotion of excellent infrastructure governance and meaningful change, accelerating the growth of resilient communities and building the foundation of “A matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay for all Filipinos.”
