The daily minimum wage for job orders (JO) at Tagbilaran City Hall has been raised by at least P100 , the City Council announced.

There will be increased of 30-40 percent starting next year after the Sangguniang Panlunsod approved the recommendation of the Committee on Appropriations and Accounts to reflect the said increase in the City’s 2023 Budget.

Committee Chairperson Jose Esteban Timoteo Butalid, in consultation with the rest of the committee members and City Budget Officer Marysol Perocho, has recommended the following increase in daily rates of the job order workers.

The proposal to increase the daily rate of our job order workers is a definite way to boost their morale and a means of showing the City’s appreciation for their dedication in the delivery of basic social services to our constituents.

The National Laws and the Civil Service Commission do not allow JO workers from receiving bonuses, benefits, and allowances.

The increase in the daily rates of job order workers would allow them to receive bigger pay especially in times of economic inflation.
