32 job seekers hired on the spot during Bepo-Peso job fair

At least 32 job seekers were hired on the spot during the Sandugo sa Bohol Job Expo: Local and Overseas Job Fair held on Friday at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City, according to a report from Provincial Information Media Office (Pimo).

Maria Vilma Yorong, department head of Bohol Employment and Placement Office (Bepo) and provincial Public Employment and Service Office (Peso manager), welcomed the participating agencies, Peso managers, and job applicants.

She acknowledged their efforts and aspirations to secure both local and overseas employment.

Around 1,000 individuals registered for the job fair.

The job fair resulted in 32 applicants being hired on the spot, while others are undergoing employment verification and fulfilling job requirements.

The positions filled included customer service representatives, spa receptionists and therapists, masons, laborers, painters, accounting staff, delivery riders, and electrical technicians.

The event was held in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) , Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Social Security System (SSS) , PAG-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
