Engr. Rory Avance, regional manager of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in Central Visayas conducted on Saturday, June 29, a thorough site visit to the Mabini-Cayacay Small Reservoir Irrigation Project in Mabini town, Bohol.
The Mabini-Cayacay SRIP is a crucial infrastructure initiative featuring a zoned earthfill dam designed to irrigate 530 hectares of agricultural land.
Currently, the project stands at 99.03 percent accomplishment, with remaining activities on the installation of piezometers.
Upon its completion, the project will benefit 320 farmer beneficiaries across the Municipalities of Alicia and Mabini.
The presence of Engr. Nelson Doliente, acting engineering and operations division manager, and Engr. Jeffrey Ungab, engineering assistant, underscores the importance of ensuring the project progresses smoothly towards its completion.
Avance utilized the site visit as an opportunity to provide critical instructions aimed at expediting the final phases and preparing for the project turnover.
His hands-on approach and direct involvement highlight his commitment to overseeing the successful implementation of infrastructure projects that directly benefit local communities.
